Established Auckland artist Angie Dennis has been painting professionally since 2002. Originally from the UK, Angie made New Zealand her home in 1998. Having studied Environmental Science, it is perhaps no surprise that the preservation of indigenous flora and fauna is prominent in her artwork. Angie is continually inspired by what NZ has to offer, and is constantly pushing the boundaries in the way she sees life in her new found home.
Described as vibrant, contemporary and bold, Angie’s artworks complement and enrich the interiors of many homes and businesses here in New Zealand and abroad.
“Guests are like Fish”, was a saying used by Angie’s Grandma, and that of the late Benjamin Franklin. It was used with affection in her family - perhaps that’s why they all get on so well! It’s not in any way meant to be rude, just a fun way of saying you’re welcome to stay, but a cautionary note to say things may go a little sour!
