Maunga, meaning mountain or hill in the Cook Island language, is suggested in the form of this lampshade. The design also revolves around a sense of place and belonging. Inspired by the designer and craftsman’s mother growing up alongside a mountain.
Maunga pendant light is made of sustainably grown bamboo plywood and is intended for dry interior spaces. The warm glow and patterns evoke a relaxing atmosphere that looks great as a cluster in residential, hospitality and commercial settings.
